Description
Kutch silversmiths were famed across the Indian Ocean trade for their fine, dense floral work. This set of four plates, around a hundred years old, shows the craft at its best: each plate has a wide border of scrolling foliage and filigree around a plain, hand-burnished centre, and the smaller plates carry radiating heart and petal medallions.
Beautiful displayed together on a wall or a table, or used for mithai, dry fruits and puja offerings.
