Description
A small, square-shouldered perfume bottle in clear glass, closed with a faceted glass stopper. A round black-and-gold metal label on the front reads “Mfd. by E.S. Patanwala, Bombay, No. 12”, naming the Bombay perfumer who filled it.
The bottle has been used: there are traces of old perfume residue inside and marks on the glass and around the stopper neck, as the photo shows. We have left it as found.
A characterful piece for a dressing table, a cabinet of curiosities or a collection of Indian perfumery.
