Description
A draped lady sits at ease on the back of a reclining lion in this white bisque figurine, the matt, unglazed porcelain long used for decorative figures. The lion is finely modelled, with a full mane and calm face.
The rectangular base shows touches of yellow and green paint, and there are a few marks from handling, as the photo shows. A striking piece for a mantel, console or study.
